Gawd I love this running thingy

If you've ever worked a nightshift..... The worst one ever is clock change shift, a normal bed time of 3am becomes 4am and so on 😬..... I hit the pillow at 4.34am sneaking in quietly so as not to wake lounge campbed sleeping Mrs Wife ( NHS work has taken her to solo sleeping for peace of mind big empty bed weird πŸ₯΄.) Yep I'm awake bang on 9.30..... sleeping solo is weirdly odd 😢.

But hey ho breakfasted and freshened, and so snug I could've easily snoozed but the legs were saying, get up you promised us a run 😬.....

Yikes it's sooooooo chilly cold πŸ₯Ά. That wind made finding breathing sooo tricky, weird logic, I'm cold run quicker, I must have sounded like the flying Scotsman πŸš‚πŸ€« complete with visible breath. So on I chuffed and puffed ok I chose flat running purely to see if it was a little sheltered it was maybe a tad.....

I feel better I definitely feel awake, and yep I'm glad I listened to my legs....

They obviously knew what they wanted to do today they just kept it surprise from me haha..... 5k pb 26.38 ( can't upload photo)

Get out there people and listen to your legs they're probably right πŸ‘

It's soul destroying on a night shift when that clock goes back and you've got an extra hour to work. Forward is for celebration lol - I know where you are coming from having worked 35 years on shifts. They can be very tiring and disorientating.

Snow??? Whereabouts are you? It’s cold and windy but sunny down here

South Downs. Just a few flurries in the air. It’s the first snow we’ve seen all winter and it comes today of all days, just as the clocks change and summer time begins!

It probably would've been easier to run straight after work πŸ˜‚

Fab run, great time too.......and yes I did a few years of nights. I HATED them. I worked as a nurse in A and E in London and it was often busier at night than in the day. It was one day when I just couldn’t sleep that I wrote my letter of resignation through tear filled eyes, and I went onto community nursing which wasn’t so dreadful on the sleep!! Take care and stay well 😎

Yikes an A &E nurse, and in London and on the graveyard shift 😬 you did dive in the deep end.... Good on you for surviving it ju-ju πŸ‘
