New Zealand is on lockdown. From midnight Wednesday for a month everything will be closed, apart from essential services, supermarkets etc. Took the dog to the vets this afternoon and saw these flowers smiling at me they won’t be there next month when I pass again, so really cheered me up, hope they do for you too. Stay well and safe everyone x😎

How Quickly Life Changes
Stay well.. stay safe...keep those sunflower smiles in your heart xxx
Stay safe lexi6 . I think we will soon be on lockdown too as people apparently can't do as they're told! I just hope they don't ban running 🏃♀️🤦♀️
You too Saartjie. I’m just incredulous looking at photos of people sitting outside cafes etc. in the UK just carrying on as normal Madness! Trying to cross the road after being at the vets was difficult today as so many cars were on the road, thought perhaps they’d been diverted off the main road but realised they were all rushing to the supermarket to stock up after our lockdown news. Hope we still get to keep our running. X 🤞
Look after yourself lexi6 and yes what lovely flowers.
Here in the uk we will be on lockdown shortly as some idiots are not following instructions and practicing social distancing . They will waste it for all of us especially us runners. 😊🏃♀️
They are just unbelievably stupid. Just hope we get to carry on running and not have it ruined for us. 🤬
At least we are able to run for now. It would be pretty hard to bear if they banned exercise.
Never thought the day would ever arrive when the thought of not being able to get outside and run would fill me with horror 😂
It could also mean that the Vitality Running World Cup could be cancelled before it finishes just into April, most people who are taking part are running alone, that is why so far it has not been cancelled, however, as you say if exercise outside is banned like it is now in many countries, France, Spain, Italy to name a few, I don't see how the WC could continue.
Just heard that all Mc Donald's are to close, I don't go there but I go to Burger King once every 3 weeks, no doubt it will close as well.
Beautiful happy sunflowers. Thank you for those, stay well, stay safe
Stay safe and well. I have friends inNZ who are supposed to be flying home to Scotland today!
Great pics lexi, I love sunflowers 🌻🌻
It's rather telling that a main concern is "will lockdown mean I can't go out running?" But I'm sure many of us have thought about this. I am also expecting we will hear more about this today, as yesterday's news pictures looked like we had an unexpected public holiday here in the UK 🤯
Stay healthy and safe 😘
😂😂 I know Jell, couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Granddaughter is going to be busy, she started her Bachelor of Nursing last month, which has closed for now, so will be doing some home based learning and extra hours as she works part time in a supermarket. Hope we are still allowed to run. 🤞
Oh blow! Nasty all around, this thing, and some people just don’t get it. We have daughter in California, grandson in Auckland and us in UK and soon all to be sequestered. Hope it helps. Thanks for the sun flowers - we all need every bit of cheer. Take great care. 💕
You’re welcome Granspeed, hope you and your family stay well and safe too. 😊 x
I’m full of admiration for NZ for acting early & firmly. Do hope it will keep you all safe. 👏🏼💕
Me too Granspeed. I think our PM Jacinda again has shown herself again to be decisive and committed to our wellbeing I feel so proud. 🙂
Great picture Lexi, I have just made a felted wool picture of sunflowers in a blue vase.... Sunflowers are so cheerful looking.
Hope your dog is OK.
I think we may end up in the same situation because some people seem to forget and act if they are on holiday. Let's hope the lock down works
Lovely photos Lexi. They really do cheer you up don’t they? I think the UK won’t be far behind you. Stay safe and well xx
Beautiful photo Lexi, thank you for sharing 😘
I think we might be headed the same way because there are still so many stupid people who are wandering around as if nothing is going on 😡
A friend flew to NZ a few weeks ago, he goes for several months every year but I guess now he’s stranded!
Take care and stay well x
Oh no! for you friend. We never thought lockdown would come so quickly here, but after seeing all those idiots strolling around lockdown is inevitable for the UK now isn’t it? Hope your knees are improving IP. Take care too 😊 x
We did think it was crazy for him to go but he wanted to 🙄 we haven’t heard from him as he’s not good on technology so we hope he’s ok.
I can’t believe the sheer stupidly and selfishness of those who are ignoring all the advice. Our little village has imposed our own mini lockdown for over a week now 🙂 we have a lot of elderly people so it’s understandable.
The knees are probably not healing as they should as I’m kneeling a lot in the garden atm. The weather is glorious and I have so much to do. But they do feel much better thanks. If we can’t run outside I might have to go for a last little trot ..... but let’s hope it doesn’t come to that 🤞🏃♀️
Thank you Lexi!! 🤩 Thinking of you and all the VRBs around the world, all your families and friends. 🤗🤗 Stay safe!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sunflowers are such happy flowers lexi and they always make me smile 😊
Good luck to you and your family during this difficult time. I don’t think we’ll be far behind you.
You too Dexy and UTS. Mr Lexi was most annoyed at the lockdown news because he was off to buy himself a new mountain bike and now he’ll have to wait a month. Suggested he get a grip 😂 perhaps he could buy one with a shopping basket instead.
Love your Sunflower pic Lexi,
Stay safe in your lockdown scenario, it feels so odd doesn't it, like real life has somehow gotten tangled with a movie script. The measures are there to protect the vulnerable, in the UK some folk think the rules don't apply to them.
I do look forward to my time on the yoga mat. Benji seems very Zen about it!
😊🌷🌻xxx
Its so weird BBr we have been amazed at the pictures of people panic buying and stockpiling in the UK and yet within minutes of the PM’s lockdown news it was just chaos on the roads and at the supermarkets and petrol stations here too. Just absolute madness. They’ve had to put the police in to the supermarkets now to keep everyone calm and I’m so dreading my weekly shop tomorrow. Think me and my yoga mat are going to become good friends but just wish our dog Harry could practise downward dog like Benji - in the background 😂 you and Mr BBr keep safe and well too xx
Take care Lexi and everyone infact 🤗 see you on the other side when this is over X
Good luck to you and yours lexi6; it’s going to be grim but you know we’re all right behind you (at a social distance of course!).
Hope you stay well Lexi in your beautiful country. I admired Jacinda Ardern for the way she handled the Christchurch mosque shooting and glad she is continuing to show leadership.
