Normally on a Friday morning there would be school parties and groups of other sightseers, but no sign today. Film crew that appeared this week has also scarpered, taking their trailer park with them. πNoticeable increase in runners though - hopefully because of home working rather than people being laid off.
Beautiful day, bright and sunny, cold and blustery, which stops me getting too hot.
After a couple of weeks running a bit faster, this week I've tried to go for gentler runs, although looking at the data for my Monday run, towards the end my stride length was 50% longer than usual! I paid for that extra stride length with grumbly knees which are gradually getting better.
Looking forward to more sunny and bright days!

I started C25K the last week in August 2019. Had a slight blip in November and spent 3 weeks on the IC, which taught me to take it steady. Other than that it's been good!
You done great then well done I started a bit later and spent several weeks on IC of on for about ten weeks still get problem with the injury but physio said keep doing the runs and exercise think itβs my age lol
Fantastic effort great distance and speed. If this is you on a gentle run you are a true runner. Just back from my run, so many cars parked outside houses but nobody out making the most of a glorious day π₯ they all need to learn to run. happy running π€
Thanks GH. A lot more cars haven't left for work here as well. I can hear a spot of DIY going on. π
After I quit alcohol and caffeine a few weeks ago, almost every time I went for a run it was a new PB. I'm trying to cool it for a couple of weeks now, before trying for 5K in under 28 minutes by Easter.
Thank you ForbiddenPlanet, I'm doing consolidation runs at the moment and intend to start Ju-ju's magic 10k plan in May. So first 10k post might take a little while.
Thanks Buddy. It certainly does - most every runner I passed looked happy and smiley. (Passing some runners going the same way as me is a novel experience I am still getting used to!).
