8k consolidation run

Lovely day here today, still sunny but a lot cooler than recent days (which makes it easier for me to run anyway).

I learned my lesson from my last outing on Friday and was properly hydrated today πŸ’¦ and the difference it made was like night and day.

This time around my legs didn’t turn to jelly for the last 3 or 4 km, no bad calf aches afterwards, and I just felt overall much more settled for the entire run and managed to maintain the pace pretty much throughout. Unlike last Friday when I slowed down to snail 🐌 pace for second last few km’s and felt completely spent.

Hope you are all keeping safe and healthy

Enjoy the rest of your Easter Monday 🐣

Isn't it great when you hydrate properly how better the run feels. Keep doing this at least 2-3 litres a day and sometimes even more especially when you've ran on a hot day .

Glad you enjoyed it and enjoy the rest of your day 🌞🌞

Thanks very much Buddy34, yes you’re right in saying the run is soo much better when properly hydrated. What a difference it made πŸ‘

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day too.

Well done mate. A super time and consistent pace for a good solid 8k. Runs like these are ace aren't they?

Running is all about experimenting and learning as well as the ups and downs. You're in a great spot right now!

Thank you very much GTFC πŸ™

Yes I really enjoyed today’s run πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ πŸ‘, so much better being hydrated this time around.

You’re spot on about the experimenting and learning, and the ups and downs of running. I’m a novice runner but seem to be on a fairly steep learning curve at the mo.

Enjoy the rest of your day πŸ‘

Me too. Only started in Nov 19 with no previous experience. In that way I will always see myself as a novice runner. I don't really know where I'm going but love to build runs into my week. As long as we're out we're already winning mate.
