The current qualification round of the tournament closes at midnight tomorrow (11th March).
β Please note, it is the country that must qualify in this round, not you as an individual!
From the FAQ's on the official website: 'If your country is still in the competition you can run in the next round, even if you missed the previous round, or all other rounds. You cannot however change your country once you have run once for a country at any point in the tournament.'
β Having said that, in order for your runs to count for your country you do need to qualify at some point by doing at least one run of 3 kms in 30minutes; however this can be during any round in the tournament.
Depending which part of the website you read, it is unclear whether or not shorter, slower runs will also count once you have done a run of 3kms in 30 minutes!
But from one of the FAQs on the official website 'If you run under 3 km / you run 3 km but take longer than 30 minutes, your run will remain on your account, but it will not count until you clock at least 3 km in 30 minutes. At this point your total run distances will count.' Contrary to what I said before, this suggests shorter runs will count, so long as you have at least one 3k+ qualifying run.
There are clearly still issues with some runs not being picked up from Strava, but Garmin and Mapmyrun tracking seems to be working well, and the form for manually registering an untracked run also seems to be working well.
It's not too late to sign up to run for your country! You'll find lots more info on how to do so in this pinned post: healthunlocked.com/bridgeto...
