Amidst VWC Tech-confusion, Iβm still trundling along. And today it was Not Raining. π³π
I have discovered a set of podcasts called Podrunner, which some others might find handy. Seems to be a large library of music podcasts with very specific beats per minute. Thereβs relatively little irritating talk and big choice. The music Iβve found so far is only so-so: not tuneful but it does have a really strong beat and is less boring than a metronome. π There are interval ones of many sorts as well as steady beats. Might be worth exploring for some, especially for either picking up pace or maybe slowing it down/steadying the flow.
Happy running. ππΈ

I do hope your New Forest traiks are drying out a bit now Granspeed, I shall have to look out those pod runners . I usually shuffle my own music but thereβs no doubt my speed changes with what pops up. I did try Spotify tracks at certain beats pm but I couldn't stand the adverts.
The gravel tracks are getting better, though there are still some good puddles. No running in a daze. π³ But the farm track local to my house is a quagmire and beyond the little bridge, there is a moat. π¨ I am still on lanes and pavements locally.
The Podrunner music is variable and Iβve only tried a few so far. But I got one about 5 bpm faster than my usual basic trundle and it definitely moved me up. π€£ And there was an uninterrupted hour of it.
πI love downloading choices from my own music & putting them into playlists marked 3k run 5krun etc I plan my music according to the run I want to do & change it frequently so I donβt get bored. Sometimes I run without it & thatβs an enjoyment in itself, listening to the dawn chorus, sounds of the sea & time to think.
Yes, Iβm mostly a βnakedβ runner! We are lucky if we run in natural surroundings. I am on town pavements at the moment, due to high mud levels, so was looking for music beat to help regulate my pace. Trying to get some advantage from this spell of uncooperative weather. π€£π€£
