Stepping Stones No 2!
What was diff’t from 1st time: I used a more level route. I wanted to use Ensō with the gorgeous gong to give me a halfway bell 🛎 to note when to turn back.
What worked well👍🏼: easier (a tiny wee bit) and I have a feeling that if I do this podcast a few more times, than I might just be able to hit that beat consistently. It was nearly doable.
What didn’t work well👎🏼: I set up my Ensō bell wrongly and I turned around 1-2min early. Not much, one would think, but it meant I had to struggle to hit 160 bpm at the end of the run on a well housed street 🏠 🏡 🏠🏠🏠with plenty of school children walking to school 🚶♀️🚶🏽♀️🚶🏿♂️🚶🏿♀️🚶♂️(and WATCHING!!!!). The horror! 😱🤪😅
I seem to also be hitting the first beat of the bar only every two bars. 🎶 Not sure how this works, 7 in 8? And I feel my body/legs want to give the first down beat extra accent, e.g. lengthier stomp which I then have to catch up.
Music... hm. Focussing on the beat helps. And I do like running to the beat so all that makes the music sufferable.
My stats tell me I haven’t sped up (yet), but I can see how I might if I do this a few times more.
