If you’ve read Dexy5’s post from yesterday you’ll be aware things haven’t gone quite as planned and she is now on the IC cuddling an ice pack round her knee! She’s being super stoic (aka very English!) but as she says, it’s happened and can’t be undone. Hearing a swear word from her (which I’ve never done before!) made me realise that things weren’t quite right but she’s remaining very cheerful and has kindly let me borrow UTS for some skiing! I’m hoping she’ll be up and about before too long, albeit hobbling along, so that she can enjoy the rest of our stay. The fact that her first thought on being brought down was ‘I hope this doesn’t stop me running’ shows where priorities lie these days! Hope you enjoy the view from our accommodation, courtesy of Dexy5.

Skiing holidays (really!)
Yes I’ll be seeing a bit more of that view than originally intended.
Oh Dexy life is sometimes very unfair!!!
Order lots of hot chocolate & hopefully a hot tub there to wallow in! Hope recovery is super quick! 🌸 ☕️ 🍫
It’s a lovely view OGR, and I hope you and UTS can do a few extra runs for Dexy. 😀 I’m assuming the apres ski hasn’t been affected too much!
Have a wonderful remainder of your holiday. Watch out for rogue out of control skiers though. 😳
I can look at the ski app and see which lifts they are going up cheeky and guess which runs they are going to follow.
Ah sorry to read this. Same thing g happened to me 5 weeks ago. Like you my first thoughts were " I hop this doesn't stop me running" shows how much things have changed. I should be back at it shortly and hope you are too!
Very frustrating isn’t it John.? 5 weeks seems a long time without running but we must be patient. I hope you got lots of skiing in before it happened. I and the weather were just getting to the best bit when I had to stop. It wiling put me off though - I love skiing.
Brilliant view and so good that you and UTS are putting the effort into skiing so that poor Dexy has to sit at home with just the view 😂 I hope you at least wave as you ski past. Enjoy the rest of the holiday ❄⛷
Yes that’s the piste back home to the hotel rear door, I could sit on the balcony and see them ski back,
My heart really goes out to you. No skiing eek. After my ski crash in January my first thought was to get up and hobble off mountain before ski patrol said no to skiing. Luckily with me it was a shoulder injury so I was able to ski through the pain. I'm so so sorry you are missing your skiing. Plenty wide slopes, you'd think the other skier could have taken avoiding action and left you to enjoy your holiday.
Yes I remember your Ice accident grannyhugs. I hope your shoulder has recovered.
The other skier had earphones in , which I think is a complete no no with skiing and cycling but is ever more present. She came over a crest too fast I think and found me below. Oldgirlruns thinks she tried to take avoiding action but it was too late.
I didn’t actually realise I was hurt until I left her. I wonder if she’s got a similar injury?
My shoulder would be better if I was a good girl and did the physio but it's so boring compared to running and skiing. Didn't realise it was still a problem till I went swimming last week. Guess what I need to keep doing 😂😂
Looks absolutely gorgeous. Enjoy ⛷
Lovely view Oldgirlruns. A rare bit of #*#*?! (insert rude word/s here........) from Dexy 🤭 needed to be said better out than in eh? Enjoy the skiing Ogr and UTS and Dexy your attitude to your bad luck is amazing. 🇬🇧
Every cloud has a silver lining, looks like I might be returning 1st class Lexi, on the insurance.
Sorry, business class. Those seats with the beds.
Stunning view but SO sad about the accident! Take care now.. we need one of you on your feet!! Xxxx
That picture is superb and just what i needed to see today. I did read Dexy5’s post and felt sad that happened to anyone on holiday especially a runner, I hope you are all having good food and a few glasses of whatever you like together and having the best time you can
A beautiful view and how lucky she has some beautiful company too. Enjoy the rest of your holiday and keep our wonderful Dexy5 entertained
Oh no! I must have missed Dexy5 ’s earlier post. Sending all our love from your wet and miserable home town!
Oh dear. Hope you Dexy is not in too much pain. Sending wishes for a speedy recovery.
