I'm so looking forward to the end of winter

Ohhhhhh just imagine, we'll be able to put away the long sleeves and gloves whoop whoop ahhhhhhjjj
But then it'll be off to the shops to buy running wellies and caps with umbrellas built in π₯΄
One of these then π€£π€£
Meteorology Winter officially ends at the end of February, this Saturday, the Astronomical Winter ends around the 20th March, of course you can get frost or snow in April, the February temperatures in 2019 reached 21C a all time record for the UK, this February is the wettest since records began, hopefully March, the start of Spring will be better than February.
That would be so good woudnt it? itβs going to rain all weekend again here and iβm on leave so am going to have to learn to love running in the rain
Yes, it's getting pretty desperate! Next run, Saturday, si looking firward to it, but there's going to be strong winds and hail! Might retreat to the treadmill to be honest!
Being in the southern half of the globe I am in exactly the opposite position - cant wait to whinge about how cold it is! We have just (finally) had a few days of rain, it is still quite warm (in the high 20s) but it seems like it is on the way down now! Which means I can run in the evenings and savour my sleep-ins again!
Aaahhh! Enough already with this weather! It's not usually something that bothers me, but even I'm ready to throw my toys out of the pram now, π©π©π©
.
Ohhhhh ...... βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ What a wonderful thought. It canβt come soon enough Buddy, youβre right.
I had a wee taster of sunshine on my wednesday run it was lovely. π
Yes, in fact yesterday was beautiful here in the SW (my sonβs birthday too, so nice for him ππ). Today is back to normal transmission! π€¦ββοΈ π¦ π¨
π€£π€£ but the beauty of winter is we really appreciate the days when it's not wet and the sun pokes out between the clouds. Remember summer in Scotland still has miserable days and that's so irritating.
Yes you're right Grannytobe. It would be sunny and warm and we would go out and by a few summer tops or a paddling pool for the children then the next day it would rain .
We do moan about the weather but the great thing is we still get out there. π€£π€£
Yep, as soon as everyone stops moaning about Winter, they start moaning about Spring and then Summer weather.... we are lucky to have variety
Oh this is SO apt!!! Love love love it!
I had intended fitting in a quick 5k this morning, as it was grey but dry first thing, but then the wind got up and it is heavy, cold sleety rain, so Iβm not going to bother. Bleugh!
Likewise Sandie1961 . Instead Iβm going to go all out and do Severn Bridge PR tomorrow. I might as well throw myself into some serious wind and have a laugh in the process! π π¨π¨π¨π¨π¨π¨π¨π¨
I live in NE Scotland so I will still be complaining about how cold it is in the summer π
Oh Buddy, I detested running in the heat last year...running at 9pm because it was cooler, even horror of horrors went out at 7am on a Sunday morning when I should have still been in bed π³
I have to say it...I prefer winter running and I'm secretly hoping we don't have temperatures much over 20 in the summer. Sorry π
