Plodding on...

Hi all, I’ve been plodding as able through the winter months. Only been managing one run a week really since before Christmas. My stamina has dropped but I’m still plodding. This week I managed a Sunday run and then another today. There is a noticeable difference in performance when runs are more frequent and I really felt this today. My run felt good and enjoyable, rather than the chore it has become of late.

Hope you are all well and getting those runs in. 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️

Great to hear that you are starting to enjoy your running again. I also find that I run much better when I get out regularly - it's great to feel that improvement so quickly, isn't it?🙂

Yes. It’s reassuring! I’m interval training to get my time running up again and today felt stronger! Phew x

Regularly running becomes a habit and does make it easier, bit determination definitely needed to get out through winter. You've managed a run a week which is way more than many, celebrate this. The days are definitely getting longer, happy running

Well done, it's hard to find the time sometimes but so much more enjoyable if you can squeeze in an extra session or two. I only managed to run once a week over Christmas and new year and it definitely started to feel like a chore. Now I'm back in the old routine I am enjoying it so much more. ☺

This is true. It’s a chore when it’s hard work. It’ll be nice to get out in the spring weather. Will be able to run with the dog in May too when he is 1! 🐶

Oh, that will be lots of fun, I bet he's going to love it!

Yes. He’s a crazy border terrier so a run with the dog kills several birds with one stone! He will love it.
