I neeeeeeed to run ๐Ÿง

โ€ข11 Replies

Haven't had the chance to run since I was last out on Friday for a lovely relaxed 5k jaunt.... The nightshifts were long and gruelling and ( being sensible ๐Ÿคซ) feeling a niggling back twinge thought it best to rest up.

So after 4hrs of power washing the patio and decking yesterday, Mrs wife accompanied me to the running shop this morning, followed by a sneaky daydate coffee. Gait analysis completed and new shoes purchased ๐Ÿ‘. After learning I over pronate and trying on a variety of suggested trainers, I have trainers with support and bounce and I'm ready to run.....

But but but I don't wanna get them dirty ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

4 hours of power washing doesnโ€™t sound like resting up! Gorgeous running shoes, I have Brooks Adrenaline GTS and love them! But theyโ€™re muddy now ๐Ÿ˜‚ Happy running!

Thanks jazzy, the old karrimors are strictly muddy park run footwear only, I tried a pair of ASICS but they were soooo tight and the saucony ones looked too teenage haha, but the brooks I seem to float in from the get go!!

Very nice shoes Imc50 and yes I know what you mean by wanting to keep them clean but you know it's not going to happen. Enjoy ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

P.s as you've just had gait analysis, did you run on the treadmill in bare feet or trainers?

Hi buddy, yep I've had my gait analysis, I did it on the treadmill in a pair of neutral shoes, then watched the video footage of my footfall etc

All the best trainers have dirt on them , wear that dirt with pride

Lovely shoes. ๐ŸŽ‰ The updated version of mine, I think, in a slightly darker colour. Mine shrug off the dirt quite well, actually, so off you go! Let them dry later if needed and then a bit of a brush to make them feel loved and treasured. Happy running! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŒค๐Ÿ’จ

Nice shoes. I think I bought the same (in black) after gait analysis.

Made a huge difference. So glad I did it

I brought a pair of brooks 2 weeks ago after a visit to a running shop and a gait analysis.

I didnโ€™t want to get them dirty either but how long can you protect them hey... I parkrun on a very muddy playing field so they were very mucky but I cleaned them a day later once the mud had dried, using a nail brush and warm soapy water, as good as new!
