One year of running

I felt the need to write something today, which I rarely do, as I need to mark the fact that a year ago today I started Couch25k. It was a New Year Resolution and I still remember how hard those first 30 second runs were. But I have surprised myself, finding that I actually enjoy running and now run a 10k plus a couple of other 5-7 k runs every week. If you had told me I would be doing this a year ago I would never have believed it. I have never felt fitter or stronger in my life (even though my 50th birthday is looming).

This forum is great for getting me out on the dark mornings when motivation is dipping, so thank you all. I just wonder what the next year will bring. I have attached a photo of my running view- I know how lucky I am to run in fabulous countryside.

Nice view, and congrats on a year of running. 👍

Strangely enough I love running through an urban landscape - I guess life would be boring if we were all the same.
