So today I managed to complete my 365th run in my runstreak... so a year of running every day for me. Now- I do not recommend this unless you have been running for a few years and feel it could work for you... So, I decided to do it as I had felt the need for a long time to work out WHEN I was going to fit my run in whether than IF as I have a very busy life and I spent too long procrastinating. It gave me no choice. I do alot of slow one mile runs and these are incredibly restorative after full on days at work etc.
Mostly I go out very early in the morning. I have a theory that the first light brings with it energy and positivity, although the last few weeks have been full on darkness!
So today I set out wearing GOLD, I wanted to wear something to mark the occasion but I knew it was cold so I improvised alot. I took to the streets listening to 80's music.... Simple Minds, Pet Shop boys, INXS and Frankie Goes to Hollywood. I ran smiling, crying ( it hasnt always been easy), singing and dancing. I shouted hello to Princess, my daughters horse, and I ran down the middle of our local streets throwing my arms in the air and singing. I had a few gawps but I didnt care!!
I love running ( can you tell?!!), its my go to, my happy place, my therapy. I will continue to do this until such a time that I am not able to physically, and I feel so blessed that I can...

Love, love, love this! Well done, what a fabulous achievement. And as for the gold kit - all that is missing is your superhero moniker (I think we need to get our heads together and think of one for you!).
Here's to an even brighter running future! πΎπββοΈ
I only recently graduated , before Christmas , but I really got to love running too. I have been doing the C25k + podcasts, which I really enjoy. Yesterday while in the car , stuck on the M25 , I watched your YouTube videos β10 is the magic numberβ. Looks so exciting and canβt wait to try it.
Maybe in a few weeks I will be ready. Thank you for doing the programme .π
Frigid air! π. It was minus 2 degrees when we set off, and the temp Dropped a bit further after that, but there was no wind chill thank heavens π
We were practically in the sea, which apparently made it warmer ! π π. It did warm up though and I ditched my jacket for the last few Kms
You still have to dress for the worst case scenario though, which is a bit of a pain
If itβs windy ....... π± still, youβre made of girders. Do wear a hat though I implore π
The fell runners ones with the sealed seams etc might be a necessity. It might even be stipulated in the race rules It will cost more than a lightweight shower resistant one but needs must ππ
Iβve been hiking and the fog has closed in without warning. Itβs flipping scary and itβs wet! I had no idea how wet fog was til I was on the hills in it when it came down it soaks you through
Fantastic - you are an inspiration! For me, I love running on the sunny days even the cold, sunny ones... always find the cold, grey, damp ones harder, but still getting out there... thanks for your posts & Happy New Year!π
Wow amazing! You look fabulous too! As you say running can be therapeutic, it eases the mind and clears your vision to make better choices. Hope 2018 will be as fruitful. Claire x
