Getting back to it

I completed the c25k in August and have done a couple of runs since. I then had an injury and had lots on and bad weather so havent run since October. I went for a 5k run tonight and looking at building up to doing 10k. Although it will be a slow 10k. I havent run in the winter before as I only started in April, so was hoping people could advise on what would be useful for running in the dark in winter?

A high vis vest, light/lights, long sleeved top & a light waterproof (in light of recent weather!) 😀

Great decision.... and I’d say a good headtorch with front and back lights, high vis bits on your clothes, a hat or buff for your ears. And hone in on your gut instinct. It will serve you well and alert you to any dangers. And enjoy the adventure, I love running in the dark, it’s like exploring a whole new world...

Good luck with your dark winter runs, a real challenge. I can luckily run in daylight but had 1st evening run last week, quite nice in the street lights. Beware the extra cold of darkness and wear layers.
