Getting back out there...

Hi all, been a while since I posted as I’ve been a bit plagued with arthritic pain (winter!) so have not been able to run as much as I would have liked. However.. went out Friday and did a gentle 2k and last night after work managed 3.8k but did have to walk up the steep hills, which in past have run up on route around a 6k. Nevertheless, was pleased I got out and feel a little stiff this morning but not too bad. Hoping to gradually increase again slowly as would love to be able to get to 10k.

Good to know you’re back with us again Sussex13! I’m sure your body will tell you if you’re moving too far too fast but with the spring to look forward to , 10k is surely within your grasp! Good luck!

Thank you 🙏

I'm sorry to hear you have flare up from your Arthritis. What meds are you on? Up until I got my new meds ( monthly IV) I also got occasional flare ups in winter, but luckily nothing too bad. Went on the IV last year February and ever since I have no pains at all anymore. Do mention these flare up to your doc when you see him/her next. The purpose of meds is that the Arthritis is under control. Good luck!

Well done for getting back out there, both of those runs sound enjoyable, I’m sure you’ll gradually build back up to 10k again. The better weather will help when it finally arrives 🏃‍♀️

🎺🙌🏼🥳 Welcome back Sussex, I’ve missed you!

Just shy of 4K is a great effort after a break so well done! You’ll get back to your hills in no time 😎

I have ended up feeling derailed again after snow and a bad back so 10K feels distant again but we’ll get there 👊🏼💥

Oh, my mojo is champing at the bit, I’m just impatient for it! Ha ha! 🤣

I signed up for LEJOG last night and ran my first 4.5k towards it today. I’m ridiculously excited about the whopping new challenge ahead of me! 😝 Goodness knows how long it will take me but I like you say - it will all happen when it happens!
