I was volunteering at Parkrun this morning so decided to head off early and do my 5km run before everything got started. It was dark, windy and towards the end wet but I kept a steady pace until the last km - time was 34:28 and i felt as strong at the end as i did when i started.
Feeling happy and it was great volunteering today as a number checker too

Thanks Annie, I have volunteered more times than I have ran as I have been doing my longer runs on a weekend but think that Parkrun is such a fantastic thing I still like to support it.
I missed out the 2 9k runs and just went straight to the 10 so I didn’t have to keep doing long cold runs. Loving just going out running without thoughts of distance after4 months running to plans. Good luck
To be honest I am thinking that I may possibly only get one 9k run in and then the following week go for the 10k as I want to start doing shorter runs at a faster pace so I can get out of the cold quicker
If you look back over past few weeks loads of us missed one or 2 if the 9k runs for that very reason. Good luck whatever you opt for, I'll be looking forward to seeing your posts
