Week 5 run 1

First time this year in shorts and was so glad as I got very warm very quickly. I'll have to start taking my swimming stuff with me for a rapid post run cool down as the itchy akin has started.. That and antihistamines... Beautiful day tho and good to be out. A slow 4k done. Had to take a photo as I went past my hives. Lovely to see 'The Girls ' (no boys till later, the girls kick them put in the autumn) coming and going. Happy running vrbs.

I do...I had to reverse all those hives today to put the brood boxes under the supers... Heavy work!

It sounds like a wonderful run, well done! 👏👏👏👍 I did get very warm during my run today, I was wearing my capri leggings but I wished I'd gone for shorts!

Yes. It's quite hard getting into shorts when you're feeling cold but I'm so glad I did.

Good for u in shorts. Must be warmer than up here Cold definitely not shorts weather , warmer by end of week. A lot of hives u have. Don’t they die off in winter?

Honey bees are the only bee to survive winter as a colony...they go into a huddle like penguins, and keep rotating to keep warm. Think it was 14' in the ☀
