Juju's Magic 10k, week two completed!

I thought about not going out after work today, but then I thought if it pours down I'll just turn tail and head home. I'm so glad I went in the end, because I've now finished week two (after a bit of repeating because I had a cold last week).

I'm feeling really positive about completing this programme. Tonight was the long 39 minute run, and I was so pleased that I ran it all, and ran up all the hills! It's all thanks to this forum, and being part of the local running club, who do different training sessions every week. We did some hill work, and they have given me a real boost in my confidence in running longer distances. I did 5.6km in just over 39 minutes, and that's the furthest I've run solidly since the start of the summer!

Very happy bunny 🐰

Thank you! My usual routes try to avoid anything uphill, but going for longer distances means I can't be so choosy about where I go - there's lots of hilly roads round here 😆

I just kept doing loops to avoid hills and got pretty bored so its lovely to now do hills just for fun. You'll be a stronger runner thanks to those hills just embrace them - slowly 😉

Well done RM and hills as well! Like Grannytobe I have also been running round in circles to avoid them. 🤣

I am inspired by you all and it will be my mission in 2020 to tackle those hills.

Thank you 😁

That's a great idea. Plus, when you get to the top of the hills, you get to run down again 😉 lol there's only so many hills you can avoid 😆
