So today I got my first sub 30 parkrun. To say I'm chuffed is an understatement.
Strange though, my heart rate was slower even though I was quicker. Also got a notification from garmin connect that my vo2 max has gone up as of today also. Win win.
As always I love running and I want to thank everyone on here for their continuous support.
Tomorrow is a rest day then I will try for that 9k on Monday.
Have a great weekend everybody π€π€

Thank you AlMorr, it's great I managed a sub 30 minute parkrun and I'm happy but I wouldn't want to push myself like that all the time or it's now the longer runs are helping me go faster. Enjoy your weekend π€
As I say I was at Dunfermline this morning, immediately I got off the bus I was greeted to a beautiful display of Christmas π€Ά π lights in Dunfermline High Street, all the shop windows were also lit up with Xmas π lights as well, to cap it all there was a beautiful large Christmas π€Ά π tree all lit up just at the entrance to Pittencrieff Park where the parkrun is held, all the lights were still on when I finished the ππΎ run.
Slow but Iβm fine with that. Starting week 5 again tomorrow for structure...need to find a midweek solution in the dark to
Work through it faster. Core strengthening classes going well and lost over a stone. Marshalled again this morning and Iβve set myself target of running Christmas Day Parkrun!! Going to be a better version come the spring and push on. Thank you for asking my lovely. X
Thank you it really does. I've only ever had one sub 5k before when out running in June this year and it never happened again. But a first for parkrun π€π€
Congratulations Buddy34. Sub 30 is something many of us aspire to reach. My 60th today and still trying to get sub 31 π. I will do it one day but it will have to be perfect conditions.
Yahoo. Congratulations on your sub 30 minute 5k time. My first sub 30 min 5k time was also 29:56 and I was thrilled. Brilliant and very well done. Sub 30 is a great milestone.
Thank you Damien. Now I always wanted a sub 30 although I never thought I would be competitive but parkrun seems to bring it out in me. So now I've done it I'm happy , so you think I will stop wanting to beat my pb?ππ
That is so brilliant Buddy! I'm always in awe of a PB under 30 for a parkrun! I'm usually hacking round in about 33 at the moment and I'm determined to shave off those 3 minutes somewhere, but it's just not happening at the moment!
Well done. Drumpellier would have been my local parkrun had it existed fifty years ago as I grew up in Coatbridge. Iβm hoping to be there next week for my 50th parkrun.
Thank you ArthurJG . Good luck with your 50th parkrun that's amazing. I won't be there next week as I only go ever 2 weeks. Hope you really enjoy it π€
