I've been adding on small amounts once a week and today I ran just over 7k in 47 minutes. I am so pleased , when I got to 5k I thought I would just stick to that and then reading posts I thought I would give it a try to go longer and I'm glad I did.
I'm soaked my trainers are wet and my socks but I'm so happy.
So thanks to people on here still posting you made me push myself further.

I honestly didn't think I had any more than 5k in me . But reading posts on here makes you think ' can I do more ' . Just a wee bit every 2 weeks and it's working.
Excellent run and time for you this morning Buddy34, despite the rain you had a really good run, was the run on the same course as Drumpellier Parkrun? onwards and upwards to running an 8K.
Thanks AlMorr, my run was out on the pavements near me not at Drumpiellier but when I get nearer 10k I may use the parkrun course and double up on it π
Once again, well done, I suppose I am a bit lucky, I have a small park only 3 minutes away from my home, off road route linking it to Broadwood Loch, it was there that I gradually every two weeks by 1K increased my distance to 10K, I don't fancy running on the pavements, you probably know that in Cumbernauld there are no pavements in the traditional sense, it's all paths off road, a good place to walk, run and cycle away from traffic.
Great effort, fantastic distance and time. Iβve 7k at the end of week and was thinking nearer the hour mark with my HR monitoring still ongoing. 8k next for you?
Oh how sweet of you to remember about my knee! It's much better, though a friend told me I ran Park Run on Saturday with a limp π€£ - that was the first proper ru I have done in a fortnight - really been missing it!
I ran 5k today as well, and all was good. I'm slower than I was, but hopefully I will speed up. ππ»ββοΈ
Great stuff....you were always encouraging over on C25K so nice to be able to share your journey over here. Iβm still struggling on a consistent 5k but got out last night in the rain too. Iβm struggling to keep going. Itβs a mind thing. Youβre doing awesome!!
Well done Buddy just catching up with all the posts...Iβm following what you have done so thank you for the inspiration not just this with this but for all your posts and replies πππ
