First Run of Juju's Magic 10k

Well that wasn't exactly as planned! I went to my running club yesterday evening, thinking that it would be a shorter training session followed by games, as it has been in recent weeks. However, the organisers decided it would be a 5k run instead!

So with that taking me 36 minutes, I made the decision to swap my runs round this week. I'll do the short run on Friday and the 30 minute run on Sunday.

It was a brilliant start though, because I got a real sense of how to pace myself, running with a group. I was slower, but I didn't feel worn out and breathless in the way I have previously. So lesson learned there!

Oh, and it was fortunate that we were running in good streetlit roads, because my chest light ran out of juice halfway round 🤦‍♀️

So I count that first run as a success 😊

Well done and good luck with the plan. Going slow on those long runs is a good idea, it means you’ll get to the end of each one.
