The weather is shocking here today and although I wanted to run before dark work got in the way. I almost didn’t go out when I heard the wind blowing but figured I would give it a go.
Dressed in my base layer, another long sleeved top and then my proviz reflect360 (latest treat from my stop smoking money) out I went. I kept it slow as lately I have found my runs have been around 6:40/km and I wanted to do a nice easy run after my trail adventure on Sunday.
I loved each and every step, I did most of my run in zone 2 with the wind blowing in my face. The extra layers worked a treat with the slower pace and kept me warm and before I knew it I had done my 2.5km. It felt such a short run after my consolidation runs and then my 5.5km but it was great.
I should become a grandma within the next few days so I have packed running stuff so I can do my 5km run while up North seeing my grandson
Happy running folks

Your weather sounded like mine on Monday. Once you're out it's not so bad and your treating yourself with new running clothes I used to buy flowers and yankee candles 😂
Well done heading out in that weather. That little short run was just perfect, I hope you are enjoying these mix of distances. Enjoy your trip north to the family and newest member.
....same! I took my running gear to work yesterday. It was so dark at the end of work I nearly didn’t do it! But after a chat with a colleague who egged me on I ran just over 3 km and it felt good! Well done for getting out there!
I've just become a grandma to a baby boy too, so Week 2 of the Magic Plan is going to start with a parkrun near my daughter's house instead of my local one. Can't wait to be honest - running AND cuddles with a beautiful little new baby! Perfect!
