Joy of running with a challenge

At end of September my son- in-law wanted to know if I would think about 10k. I started running last October C25k at age 72. I've never run or wanted to run in my life. I am now on the way to 10k. I love running its a joy. Clocked up my longest run this am. No wind on the south coast. Lovely

Congratulations on starting C25K and running at the tender age of 72, that is the same age that I was when I graduated last summer, I was at a parkrun yesterday and it was amazing how many people in their 70's ran it in under 35 minutes, some under 30 minutes.

Great effort, how is your 10k training going? Is your son in law to be cheering you all the way to the finish line?

9k accomplished today. Felt so pleased. Felt in good shape too! But there was only a little wind. The wind is a big factor when you run along the coast. It can knock the wind out of your sails (or lungs as the case may be!)

Very well done getting out there and running. Good luck getting to that 10K! 😀👍

Fantastic, well done. So much to be admired, your family must be so proud. 10k is within your grasp. Go for it!
