Hi Runners
Well, Iβm so pleased to still be on track π€© and grateful for the clocks going back. I was out at 7 and it was nice and light.
Now for the dynamics...itβs not my running style (unfortunately π³), thatβs more βuniqueβ than dynamic! π
I have a very tight hamstring, which I was nursing a bit yesterday, hoping that it wouldnβt stop me from going out today. I donβt want to go off plan, but I donβt want to over do it either. So, I get some tips from my sonβs. Son number 1, PT instructor and Taekwondo Champion and son number 2, Rugby player. I figure they must be able to help π€! I usually avoid them, as their training is way beyond my personal desires! π But needs must π.
I bought a new pair of trainers yesterday for more cushioning during the run (Son no.2, hates them, βuglyβ! π€·π½ββοΈπ€£, Son no.1, βthese are the right ones for runningβ! Son no.2 is the smart one! π€...though it fluctuates depending on how much I like the answer! π€£)
And this morning, Son no.1 does some dynamic stretches with me. I have to say I was fearful, he stretches places I certainly donβt want to stretch ππ²! He did comment on hearing clicks....cheek...it was the zip on my bumbag π! So there! π
I did take it easy today and the run is complete. It was not run as fast as was recommended due to protecting that hamstring, but a run was done and Iβm on track!! My son has now showed me some cool down ones too, which felt quite like yoga. I kind of know I wonβt remember most of them mind π³, but Iβm sure that I can find some on YouTubeπ€. I have to say that the dynamic stretches has helped a lot for me.
Iβm not advocating running with a niggle. I was very cautious about running today because I know that ignoring niggles can lead to the IC and longer gaps.
The sun is shining....the run is in the bag and Iβve got two rest days for recovery now! TWO!! π!! ππ½ββοΈπͺπ½
Happy running Runners! β€οΈ
