I may be a bit a late with this one but just in case anybody else hasn't found this I thought I'd share . . . I used to really like mapometer.com particularly the fact you could plan a route with the satellite view, really handy if you are not running on normal road routes, then it changed and you could not map a route in the satellite view without paying. I have recently found this -onthegomap.com/#/create It seems to do everything and more that mapometer.com did but for free, always a good thing

Ohh thanks for this. Will take a look. I don't tend to plan.. Only roughly. Which can often mean a fair bit less or more! 😂

plotaroute.com/routeplanner is also a handy tool for route planning. Satellite or street map view. Distances. It recognises foot paths too.
