Me and my sis just got back from a really lovely few days in Barmouth.
She knows I run on a Tuesday and had packed my kit and I was pleasantly surprised when after our morning cuppa she said I've brought mine too so I'll come with you.
She doesn't run (tried C25K last year but struggled and gave up) but had been going to the gym until a few months ago and had done a mile on the treadmill there.
We set off nice and slow and I said I'd follow her lead and walk when she needed too.
Well she did really well...turns out she'd been going way too fast when she did C25K last year! I did run on ahead eventually and expected I'd be half way back before I bumped into her, but no, she wasn't that far behind me!
It took us 44 minutes to do the 5K which I thought was fab as we walked the 1st few minutes!
She did ace and I think she surprised herself...Lovely run and the 1st time I've run with someone else too ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐

Oh imagine how wonderful if she was inspired enough by today to take on C25K again - then you could do that more often.
What a fab story
I'm trying to persuade my sister to take it up too - if only for the headspace (she has 2 young kids...needs some time out) but i think it would be great to run with her
