Started with the Couch to 5K app back in April and have now completed my 10k (managed sub 1 hour), and parkrun pb is inching toward 24 mins. Feeling fitter & healthier than I have in a long time. Next challenge: going to work on my swimming & toying with the idea of a mini - triathlon....plus the pr pb & more 10k's of course!

That’s a great idea Mitch. Get lots of time doing what you can do and doing it better. Remember that you should continue to have some slower running too, as that’s what builds up your stamina.

Thanks - I’m going to use The Guardian running podcast to help with further guided running. Saw it recommended on this site & it seems ideal for where I’m at in my development 👍

Great running. You’ve really made some fantastic progress. Really well done. I’m down to a parkrun PB of 25:36 and a 10K PB of 57:12, but it has taken over 2 years to get here. I’m aiming for a 24 min parkrun PB for next year.

Best of luck with all your future events.

Brilliant achievement, well done with your time too! A mini triathlon sounds amazing, I noticed how much my swimming improved when my jogging really took off. Enjoy yourself and keep us updated on your triathlon
