After last week’s frustrating mid run emergency I was determined to reattempt my 10K river run this morning so set of bright and early with my phone on “do not disturb “ this time.
With Strava in my ear telling me my pace every 1/2km, I settled into a sub 6min pace and began to enjoy myself. A few rowers on the river and one or two runners and cyclists but it was actually pretty quiet on the towpath.
Very pleased to have “graduated” with a sub hour inaugural 10K following a pb at parkrun on Saturday too. A good week! Weekend off now though as off to France with my book club (wine club) 🍷 🍾

The shoes are great and feel like comfy slippers! Saucony came to our social run group at our local Up and Running shop and let us trial a pair on our 5k evening run. I have super wide feet so wear the men’s version which gives me plenty of room in the toe box. It was a good first outing this morning in them. Very comfortable indeed!
