Blisters, agony, no running until they heal, so fed up I’ve had 3 months clear feet and now they are gross again, i suspect another course of antibiotics

So for everyone who can and does run over the next few days have fun in the sun and run for me

Thank you, I’m hopeful of being able to run Saturday but last time this happened I had 5 weeks off work and 5 weeks off running hopefully caught it before it gets that bad this time

Run well my friend

Now only run this Saturday if your blisters have completely gone, otherwise you will be in agony running, perhaps you could go and get a gait analysis and buy the recommended shoes.

Yikes...that sounds horrible and painful. Were they caused by running or are you just prone ?

Wishing you fast blister healing.

Have you tried adding turmeric to your diet? Check out the Food Hospital episode with the lad with awful psoriasis, in 12 weeks he was literally psoriasis free!

Thank you, antibiotics will get rid of the infection and the psoriasis will fade for a while

My dad suffered with psoriasis on his hands and feet for years so I sympathise. I remember him trying everything under the sun with varying success.

He was sleeping, at one point, with cream in his hands and feet and poly bags and gloves on. Mum said he used to rustle when he turned over, poor thing.

He had silver nitrate injections at one point which helped for a while. And his hands got better when he had a cream from the vets to put on his dogs leg. Vetnovate ( which I suspect is Betnovate in doggy form).

He also found when he swam in the sea it helped his skin too. Must be hell trying to run with it. Poor you 💕

Oh thank you, that’s the first person i’ve heard had this one apart from the so called magic cures from the internet

I have betnovate and some drugs but it still flares every couple of months and when I’m prone to blisters that get infected but antibiotics will clear that in a few days

Sorry to hear that, I remember my dad having flare ups of that in the 1960s & 70s on his lower leg & hands..horrible, luckily it did go away for good...

That’s good to hear

You could try compeed plasters when you are running, they might help with those blisters.

SueAppleRun profile image

Have done thanks but they will heal quickly now

in reply to SueAppleRun

Stick them on if you think you feel a blister developing so that they protect that part of your foot. Don't wait until you have already got the blister it's to late then. Compeed is supposed to help prevent blisters.
