Oh the soggy, soggy feet

Went for a moderate 5k this morning. It was foggy and spitting at the same time but I'm fairly hardy so it was fine. I decided to add my Strava art at the end as my cool down. I was going to run around randomly in the middle in order to 'colour in' my star (yes, it is supposed to be a star) but I was running/walking in an uneven field with long soggy cold grass. By the time I had done the outside of the shape my running bottoms were wet to the knee so I called it a day.

I must say I thought I was running straight lines between the star points - would have looked much better if I had.

Bristar, thank you for braving the wet muddy conduct for us. Happy running 🤗

Just re-read my post, auto correct 🙅‍♀️ should of course read Brilliant Star not Bristar and also conditions not conduct🤣

Haha. I thought maybe a Bristar was a funny shaped star. Thanks Grannyhugs.

Unfortunately it was only after Lifluf had read it that I noticed which is why I reposted to him🤣 I frequently edit my posts as I have a bad habit of posting before checking 🤣 I was a computer science teacher so really should know better

Yes thanks, shoes will take a while to dry out but I'm warm and cosy.😊

Brilliant! How do you do Strava Art without it automatically finding “routes”? I want to write something, but it keeps reverting to straight lines. 😩

Lifluf profile image
LiflufGraduate10 in reply to cheekychipmunks

I don't use the route-finding option. Just press record and run. Quite tricky to imagine where the star points were- i sort of lined them up with trees on the edge of the field.⭐

Ahh I see. I’m not sure I’m able to make up Good Riddance 2020 without a route planner! 🤣

That’s definitely a tough one cheeky. 😂

Tricky - maybe we could all do a letter. I'm sure there's a lot of us who agree with you 😉😊

Great star! Well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Sounds like you’ve got soggy shoes like mine now.

Yep, wet up to my knees. Still at least it was the end of the run so I could get home quickly to warm up.

It’s definitely a star Lifluf - your sacrifice in getting wet in order to bring it to us is noted!

Thank you Oldgirlruns, it was a pleasure (at least it was once I'd dried and warmed my feet)

Thanks Dexy5. I didn't know I was so bad at straight lines 😊

Just blame it on GPS - it’s had me leaping to the top of the Clifton bridge and running on water.

Inspiring someone to sing. What could be better! Worth a small sacrifice of temporary foot discomfort. 😊😊

Oh I went out first thing on Saturday. Always prefer to run at the beginning of the day - it sets me up for the rest of the day and I'm just to settled and/or distracted later on.

A brilliant star Lifluf, well done. It's a lot harder than you imagine it will be to get straight lines and to remember where you need to turn and things when you're actually doing it isn't it. Perhaps why people use streets rather than 'free-styling'!? Yours is definitely worthy of the tick on the Bingo card though, well done. ✅👍🎅🤶🦌🎄⛄⭐

Thank you FRB. I don't have enough streets around here to do art. There's a 4k loop i do that looks a bit like a gift tag but I thought a star in a field might be better 😊

Great star - I though of trying one of those on the Sports Centre playing field but was put off by the mud and wet grass.Well done for braving the fog and damp weather

Thanks Birdlady. The nice thing about cold and wet is it's so lovely when you get warm and cosy afterwards.😊
