Ju-Ju’s Magic Plan delivers endorphins by the gallon! Did an interval training evening of 3.5k. Fastest pace was 3.37 per kilometre. And it is gobsmacking that the record holders for the 5k must go faster than that for the whole blooming run! I managed twenty or so seconds! AND I FEEL GRRRREAT!

That’s awesome! I can only dream of a time like that! My current fast pace is 6.40 per km... but even then it’s by no means a spring!

C25k conditioned me to be cautious and not to sprint, now I find it so hard to just go for it, with big giant and wide strides, I hope that day will come!

I wish I could keep it up for longer but I’m not as young as I used to be! I used to be on a school relay team. I must have been nippy!

100m is a long distance when you haven't been running for a while. When you feel more confident, try extending to 150m and then 200m. After that, 20 seconds will be easy

Wow, that sounds fab, you're lucky...I've yet to give intervals a go but feel like I'd just be an exhausted sweaty mess afterwards. Maybe on my next short run 🏃‍♀️👍

They’re really good on the short run. It’s a jeffing methodology. The blasts of speed are really short. I was a bit sceptical st first but was exhilarated by the end. It got the endorphins going for sure.

Had sore calves so wasn't sure about running tonight, decided to give a short 15 minute gentle run a go but felt ok when I'd warmed up so added in 3 speedier sections for around 30 seconds and really enjoyed it...will give it a proper go next short run 👍😃

That’s the ticket! The running club trainer gets us repeating them: so, a short fast burst then into a slow run and a 60 second recovery. Then repeat. Repeat repeat repeat etc...
