Babes - Return to the woods

Well ok, it was me and CP2 😁 We were hoping for a cooler time under the trees, and it wasn't as hot as Tuesday had been, but we were still pretty much cooked by the time we finished! We set off together on an out and back, CP was planning on running for 30 minutes or so, and I was aiming for 45 minutes. We didn't run together, but we were in sight of each other for most of the time. Lots of families, dogs, horses, kids on bikes to be dodged. Met back at the café, where else, and recovered over tea and cake. Had to refill our water bottles at an outside tap which I think is for runners and dogs 😂 We were both happy with our runs, going today means we have to miss parkrun again this week, but it felt right to get a run in today, then go again hopefully Sunday. Happy runs this weekend folks.

Had to make do with a raspberry and white chocolate muffin (me) and a granola bar (CP2). It was a sacrifice, but we were pleased to do it on behalf of you all🐷🍰🐷🍰

It was hard work at first and felt slow, but our times weren't far off, so fingers crossed 😊

Well Done, you two. How great that you can run in the same place and enjoy coffee and cake together afterwards. Chocolate brownies were more popular than flapjacks at parkrun today.

Ah but these aren't just flapjacks,dexy. These are oozy, gooey, totally addictive flapjacks. And the muffins are wicked too 😈
