Loving Juju's plan, week 2 done, yay! πŸ˜€

I love the fact that after my long run I know if I'm shattered it's only a 15 minute run next time. It makes it feel less daunting knowing there's a short run to follow, and I'm finding that a good one to pick up my pace on.

Knowing I had to run for 39 minutes today I tried unsuccessfully to slow it down but each time I reached the next K I was like doh! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈIt's the first time I've felt frustrated with a PB, did 5K at 32:45 and was thinking oh for God's, now I've still got to run for nearly another 7 minutes! 😳 Obviously now I'm home and I managed it I'm over the moon. I think the consolidating and strength training is really starting to pay off. This plan is awesome, right from C25K onwards, I really have faith that I can do this...and that thrills me πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜€

Wonder if you'd been really trying to go fast, how fast would that be? πŸ’¨ You're just naturally fast, I suspect. I usually don't have to think about slowing down, I HAVE to because I can't breathe, or my legs have turned to jelly. Brilliant run, enjoy the short one!

Thanks very much πŸ˜€

I think the fact that I'm 5ft 8 and only 47 is always gonna help! I didn't used to think 47 was young to run but as we have people on here into their 70's I now feel like one of the spring chickens, which is awesome πŸ˜†

When I try to go fast I only seem to shave a few seconds off each K and feel exhausted as if I've overdone it...as you say struggling for breathe and jelly legs πŸ˜–

I used to do a K in 8 mins, then 7.5, then 7...now seems to be creeping down to 6.5 so maybe you're right! And many years ago I remember my sports teacher (as I walked around the track saying I couldn't run or accidentally on purpose forgot my kit) saying with my build I had no excuses not to run...maybe he was right too πŸ˜‰πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘

I hated school sport too. We never did any running though (at least, the girls didn't) Netball or netball. Ugh.

Lol, I didn't mind netball but was never picked until last coz I was rubbish...think I was just too lazy to be competitive, sports was too much like hard work!

My younger self would be staring at me in shock and asking me what the heck I was doing running...sounds like young GOG would be doing the same πŸ˜†
