A good talking-to from the Running Fairy

Really heavy rain this morning, so I decided not to run. (What a wuzz!)

I was enjoying a big mug of tea and the radio when the Running Fairy started nagging me: "is this the Dunkirk spirit?"

So we compromised. It's often recommended here to mix up our runs and I've been doing too many 30 consolidations recently. So I walked down the hill from my back door 380 metres to the bottom and sprinted back up at the limit of my ability. Then repeated it.

Result: knackered but feel it was worthwhile. And the Running Fairy has shut up.

Well done ! 💪👍🏃‍♂️🌪☄️💨🔥

If I have a run I am impelled to do it. It’s an unseen force that drags me out. If I hesitate for whatever reason, the inner voice starts up so it’s just easier to go and get it done ✅

Just off now. plaster on first though 😬

Kudos. 👊 Sprinting uphill is an epic achievement in my book! 👏👏👏

In the stadium of your brain, that's Fairies 1 Gremlins 0 then :-) Come on you fairies!

Ah those pesky running fairies - and I thought it was just me 😂!

Think I'd have preferred 30 mins in the rain to two uphill sprints though.

Nice bit of hill work there! That fairy must be feeling pretty stupid about now!

Running up hills? Hmm, I seem to remember that's something I told myself I would do. But my fairy has been very quiet on the subject just lately, I'm hoping she's forgotten :D

Please get your fairy to talk to mine! Today however is a rest day. Nothing apart from 5 minutes’ stretch, a short dog walk in this rain, and the usual farting about the house.

My fairy is really keen to go running in the rain this morning. It's just a bit of drizzle, she's saying 🙄 I'll have to go, she's insistent 😁

And thus we learn.... 😄👍 Clever little side step there. I’ll remember that next time I suffer the nagging. 🎉👏🏼
