Really heavy rain this morning, so I decided not to run. (What a wuzz!)
I was enjoying a big mug of tea and the radio when the Running Fairy started nagging me: "is this the Dunkirk spirit?"
So we compromised. It's often recommended here to mix up our runs and I've been doing too many 30 consolidations recently. So I walked down the hill from my back door 380 metres to the bottom and sprinted back up at the limit of my ability. Then repeated it.
Result: knackered but feel it was worthwhile. And the Running Fairy has shut up.

If I have a run I am impelled to do it. It’s an unseen force that drags me out. If I hesitate for whatever reason, the inner voice starts up so it’s just easier to go and get it done ✅
Running up hills? Hmm, I seem to remember that's something I told myself I would do. But my fairy has been very quiet on the subject just lately, I'm hoping she's forgotten
Please get your fairy to talk to mine! Today however is a rest day. Nothing apart from 5 minutes’ stretch, a short dog walk in this rain, and the usual farting about the house.
