I normally avoid running in the rain, unlike a certain chipmunk I know, but with this summer's weather, that's been messing with my schedule somewhat. I couldn't shut up the little voice telling me to stick to my schedule, it's just s bit of rain. (It was monsoon-like). So I drove off through the tempest to the local woods where there's a decent mobility trail, zipped up my rain jacket and put on my fingerless gloves (gloves, in August! πΆ) and headed off. The rain instantly reduced to only slightly worse than drizzle, the path was pretty good with mostly avoidable puddles, and I took off the gloves, and then the jacket, as I warmed up. I took my time, so was pretty chuffed to see I'd run it in 35.40. And yes, I enjoyed it, my running fairy was quite right! π

Good run for you GOG despite the rain β, good time as well, I am glad that you enjoyed your run π π.
I assume Iβm that certain chipmunk GOG! Hi!! π
So glad you got out today - and a good time too! Have you changed your mind about the rain now? πββοΈπ¦ I must admit I made no provision for the rain in what I wore today - even though it was lashing down, I still warmed up plenty and never got cold once. My poor shoes are still soggy and will take some time to dry I fear!
Well spotted cheeky! π It's not so much the wet as the cold that bothers me. I seem to get chilled really easily, although I'll be happier when I get a hat that I can put up with, it's hard to see through the rain on my specs. The gloves really helped too. But, with the trail mostly through the trees, I really didn't get too wet, and I felt very virtuous π
