I don’t usually post on here but do read all the inspiring posts. After graduating C25K late April I have been building up towards 10K and comfortably got to 9k, then was due to run my first 10K the week of the heatwave so took a break that week and since then hit a mental wall and last week struggled to get to 7k and was stopping to walk at parkrun too! Anyway tonight I was determined and the running gods were in my favour as was the weather and a nice breeze and I completed my first ever 10K on a not too shabby 1hr 6mins! So chuffed with this and reminds me that running is such a mental challenge! Aching knees now but so worth it. 😁😁

Fantastic! Very well done, Mrs Squirrell. That’s the same time I got when I ran my first 10 last week. Hope you are thoroughly chuffed and treating yourself in some way. Not just more acorns, OK?

P.S. Hope you will post more on here in future and update re: your progress.

Yay well done - it feels great doesn't it. And you're right running is as much about what goes on in your head as with your legs. 😊
