A long hot 10km, which this time featured not finding my intended route, but at least I wasn’t lost. I did manage to follow a path that I thought I knew where it would come out. Been meaning to check that one out for a while. While my favourite footbridge over the river is closed (and it looks like it might be closed for a long while) this offers an alternative river crossing.
I bought running shorts last weekend and am so glad I did. They’ve been ace. I also got permission from the boss to go in to work in running gear. Great for sweating in in a stuffy office with no air con. Actually I worked from home yesterday, but didn’t start til 2pm which meant a 7pm finish. It was still boiling 🥵.
Only 8km left to do to be on target for this month. I might even start to pull ahead. Planning on doing Parkrun on Sat, and going out with a group either Sun morn or Mon eve 🏃♀️☀️🥵🍓
Gave in to ice-cream with my strawberries and blueberries 😋😎

Thats a long run in that heat Baddie. Had a text today from cousin in Bolton who says it was 35 degrees up her way! Phew! Only 8 km to go for your target, brilliant. I really fancy an ice cream now. 🍦
Well done and a whole 5 days left to reach your target 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I’ve wimped out of running in the heat - although I did spend yesterday afternoon sightseeing in Cambridge before taking my friend back to Stansted. Hottest place in the country, it was like a furnace 🥵🥵🥵 Looking cooler and rainy for parkrun tomorrow though 😃
