My first event since graduating apart from parkrun which I love doing I’m running a 5k on Sunday at Heaton Park Manchester then after that it will be time to train for a 10K run as long as I have a goal then I will be forever motivated.

I didn’t run for 2 weeks as I was away on holiday in Cornwall so my first run was Wednesday and for me not running for 2 weeks it felt great and I even had a sprint at the end so for having time off it didn’t effect my running at all 😉🏁🏃🏻‍♂️😊🏆👍🎓

Glad you are looking forward to your first 5k event run on Sunday Kev, I am looking forward to my first 5K Parkrun in the morning, I now have all my running gear ready, including my barcode, I will post a report after I get a e-maiI knowing the official result.

Good luck for Sunday, let us know how it goes and be sure to post a pic of your medal! Hope you had a fabulous holiday and it's great to know you can have a couple of weeks off without the fitness levels dropping.

Thank you Debston it went very well I went to the pink flag which is for slow joggers I should of gone to the blue as there was walking people with dogs and prams lol and I was fired up for it and it was one lap a 5k there was markers for 1k 2k 3k 4K and the finish line but I changed my running style and I totally smashed my time the wife timed me and my best was 35:26 and I got today 28:22 I couldn’t believe it and at the end I did a sprint at the finish line and it was a long sprint I felt great after it so I going to run my parkrun like today and hopefully smash it officially but it is a different park I run at Hyde Tameside and today Heaton Park 😉👍🏁🏆🏃🏻‍♂️😊🎓🏅
