Wow that was so great to be a part of my first race for such an awesome cause.
It was so hot, first 10min really hard but run all of 5k. My aim was to go under 40mins in the heat and managed 38'52sec and I'm happy with that. Oh very exciting, first running bling!
Im going to try and upload pic, not my strongest skill.

That sounds awesome! Save me some π€€ Thank you! Gotta pack an overnight bag soon. Dilly-dallying because it'll make it more real. Hoping I don't have to stay overnight, but gotta be prepared.
Thank you Flick, once I got there nerves settled and although on my own didn't even notice that and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Good to get out of the comfort zone occasionally ππ
Thanks. I'll post as soon as I'm on 10k. I'm just butting in at the moment, words of wisdom and all that encouragement. It was handy when I started. It's such a nice community. πβΊοΈ
Yay ..well done ..I completed it too in Newcastle today, I did have to do a couple of walks but I did it and so excited to have got around in 45 minutes in this heat
Sorry I missed this earlier. Well done Lorijay, itβs a brilliant cause and although Iβve only walked it in the past itβs great to take part with everyone else who has been touched by cancer. I think I will sign up next year and run it for the first time
Oh wow thatβs fantastic! Why didnβt I spot this sooner??! Brilliant job on the 5k, and decent time too, in the heat. Running with the pack is so challenging, I know this from my 1 parkrun!!
