Thanks JaoJao, I certainly will report on my first parkrun tomorrow once I get the official result, I am not taking my Smartphone with me, so there won't be a Mapmyrun unofficial time or a metromone running steps app to help me, I'll just follow the person in front. π π
I have already put all my running gear including my barcode in place for tomorrow, yes I have signed up for texts and e mail alerts, also I have received the Parkrun Newsletter.
Update 13/7, it went very well indeed today, I think I have told you more in detail on another post, this post is from yesterday Friday wishing me well.
I think the directors take ownership of doing it but anyone can do it as a volunteer role. Some Parkruns do not have it which is a shame. The directors at my local one say they run out of things to say so appreciate it when people offer to do it and gives a different perspective.
The winner should write a report, especially if he can run it sub 16 minutes. π π, but then it would look as if he was boasting about his achievement, better to leave it to a volunteer. π
It was such fun, as always! No PB for me today, but I didnβt expect one after my 17k on Thursday, and I could have done with an extra rest day really. It was brilliant nonetheless, albeit really muggy. π₯΅π₯΅

Not tomorrow unfortunately as currently waiting at Victoria for midnight coach after seeing Dylan and Neil Young in Hyde Park, so hope to be still in bed at 9! Great concert by the way!π
Yes I did it I did the Humber bridge one. I did it in about 40 minutes in the end which for my first go was alright. I was told that I had picked a challenging course for my first one and there is one down the road at costello stadium that is flat but I felt great completing it. I have a tracker too on a piece of paper to mark them all off to see my progress
Iβm up already and looking forward to Parkrun . Iβm running my 44th today. Getting closer to my 50th Parkrun every week. Canβt wait to get my hands on that red T-Shirt. Enjoy everyone.
Yes there are free Milestone T-Shirts. The first is a white 10 T-Shirt for kids who run 10 x 5K Parkruns, everyone then gets a free T-Shirt at 50 (red), 100 (black), 250 (green), and 500. Iβm sure after that next will be 1000.
Iβm 6 away from my red 50 t-shirt and Iβll wear it with pride.
Not today, but first Parkrun planned for July 27, looking forward it! Nearest run is on a different island so involves ferry trip and overnight stay . Planned a while ago to celebrate graduating C25K tho now training for a 10k in September.
(Have coordinated with needing to be in town for a meeting that Sat pm)
