I always weigh myself on a Monday after my long run... 10k again today ๐๐ค... I don't drink anything until I've weighed myself.. So dehydrated me is under 13 stone for the first time in a LONG time! Very happy with that. 10k completed, under 13 stone, and then this bad boy came through the post!
I've seen a few people take a photo of their running gear and running number. I've been really looking forward to doing this, probably more than I should... HERE IT IS! WHOO-HOO! LONDON BABY! ๐
Yes, honestly it's all complete fluke. Not a CHANCE I would pay full price for colour. I'd run in pink trainers if they were on special. Looks like it was all meant to be! ๐
Thanks Cheeky. You, Dexy and UTS really did inspire me with your Bristol 10k, I was umming and ahing until I saw how much you guys enjoyed it.. then I just booked it.
Awww thatโs brilliant! Iโm so glad we inspired you. ๐ I know what you mean though. Not a chance Iโd have entered a 10k race without reading how fabulous others found theirs. Iโm counting down the days until the Severn Bridge 10k at the end of August! ๐๐๐
Thank you! It's on the 21st July, my birthday... ๐๐๐บ So i'm looking forward to that as well.๐ I will be well and truly hydrated on that day!
Yes, I'm a bit silly with the weighing scales, but it started off as a bit of an experiment, I've been weighing myself before and after runs. I find it fascinating how much weight you lose.
Well done you!! After being on a diet for most of my life Iโve finally started losing weight !! And guess what Iโm eating as normal but Its the running that is shifting the lbs! Started in late March and lost 9lb !!!
Me too! Did 12k this morning and am 3lbs less than yesterday morning after my weekend away๐. Good luck for the race - youโll smash it ๐โโ๏ธ
I got all excited just reading your post! All that positive energy, just before I start my run this morning๐. Excellent and thank you! Congratulations on the < 13stone, your 10k, your shirt and the upcoming event in London.๐ช๐ฝ๐ช๐ฝ๐ช๐ฝ
๐ No way! So sorry to hear that Pianism. You're a warrior to finish that run with that! I'm trying to think of something positive to say, at least it didn't happen before the run and you finished it. Hopefully 3 months will fly by, you know we'll be here when you get back!
I'm wondering if there's anything else you can do until then? Rowing machine? strength training? Jacuzzi and ๐น ..๐
I think I was an idiot to finish the run with that... though it was a miracle that I managed to achieve my planned time too!
Yes, there's plenty I can do... seeing physio tomorrow to get proper advice based on severity of issue (think it's a relatively minor tear). Then will swim on Thursday and then PT on Friday to adjust my programme. No rest for me!
