I did my second 50 minute run of the Magic Plan this morning. I find it difficult to sleep the night before the longer runs, I don’t know if it’s a bit of fear or excitement. The run went really well, in fact every run since I started C25K has gone well. I had had a few niggles in the knees and calf muscles but nothing for weeks now. The only trouble I had today was with my new running watch, I think I need a degree to be able to use it to its true potential 😂. Do any of you find it difficult to sleep before a long run?

Fear, excitement or a bit of both?

Your post made me smile😀. Well done again for 50 minutes running 👏👏👏. I think it is exciting the nearer the end of the plan you get. And I get the running watch malarkey. Managed to work mine out now but struggle to see without my glasses on so needed to put beeps and vibrations on to let me know when I was ticking off each Km. happy running this week and be excited... I think it’s a fabulous feeling 😀

Well done on that long run! I was meant to do my final 60 minute run today but work was so manic I just didn't get the time. Tomorrow hopefully.
There will be endless hours of fiddling with that watch - i know that's what i did. 🤣🤣

I’ve got a 5k time trial on Saturday. I’ve been stressing about it for weeks 🤣

Yes! I was always apprehensive the night before a big run. Mostly made them on little sleep, which means I was worrying about nothing... Trust yourself. You’ve been working towards the goal. Your body is prepared.

I don’t sleep well before a race, or a special run, mainly because of the excitement I think. The main thing is to get some good sleep during the week before.
