Gorgeous frosty morning here in Kent so got out for a scenic run before I had chance to make any excuses to put off until tomorrow. On Monday I did an out and back on pavements as I couldn't face another muddy run. My shoes stayed clean but it was very unsatisfying - running along the main road with trucks, buses, etc. So today I chose a nice scenic route instead and decided not to worry too much about any muddiness. Enjoyed it so much more. βΊ

Cold and bright like today is great, though I was still pretty warm by the end of the run. I have forgotten what it's like in the summer when you're sweating just from the warm up walk!
I usually avoid running along pavements for lots of reasons but I was just ready for a non muddy run. I'm coming to the conclusion that I need to buy some woodland and make my own personal (non muddy) running route!
Great running weather Debston, I always run on pavements and I get how you love a trail run as the only time I get to experience that is at parkrun. π
Well done Debston, glad you got a nice change of scenery and I empathise with not wanting to get shoes muddy! My local parkrun has been so muddy last few months, and I spend so much time getting my shoes cleaned up again!
Well done you π Getting past the potential βput offβ block is great. Hope to be back out next week if not before. I prefer the pavement running but only because it is convenient and we have a good long stretch here.
