Injured, run or not?

A week or so ago I Twisted my foot in a pot hole, quite painful at the time and now fairly tender with dull pain now all the way up to my hip.

I did last week’s Park Run and another run Monday night, but I am really stiff and uncomfortable.

Do I run through it, which I’ve tried and once I get going feel OK, but it doesn’t seem to be getting better.

What would you do?

I think I'd rest. I've got a dodgy knee at the moment. Couldn't resist going out last Sunday thinking it might losen it up which set me back again. Taking a full week off now and seems to be on the mend. Frustrating but better than risking permanent or longer term injury.

I wouldn't run on it. Rest up. Boring yes but running on damaged tissue will just make it worse.

Your experience pain for a reason. Listen to it. You can run through minor aches but not outright pain. Do some other exercises and wait until you are recovered. Patience is a virtue (they tell me!) 🤷‍♀️

I know you’re all right, just frustrating, I’ve got a week off work coming up and running was a big part of the plan. Hey ho! I’ll go for a gentle walk with my 3 year old grandson 😀☀️
