When does jogging turn into running?

Pretty simple question when does jogging turn into running in your opinion?

I passed some walkers the other day down a narrow track and they shouted out the way runner coming through, it made me think perhaps now I am not a jogger or a shuffler but perhaps I now look like a runner! It felt pretty good!

Thanks all

Paul

I think generally speaking the term "jogger" has been superseded by "runner" Technically speaking I think I still "jog" but I do prefer to be called a runner, it sounds more purposeful somehow :)

I agree re it sounding more purposeful.I do think a my pace has increased from 38 mins to 31 mins for 5K i feel more like i am covering distance with purpose rather than stumbling forward in a controlled manner :)

Well done, 31 mins for 5k is certainly running!, I'm still stuck at a best of 33 mins :)

I am broken at the speed believe me, I got some new trainers and i can't see to run slowly in them!

31 minutes? That’s a runner!! I think I’m a jogger still because although I’ve cracked 10km slowly my feet barely clear 6 inches from the ground.

My friend down the road runs 12 km every day and lifts his heels so high he nearly kicks his butt. Mind you, he’s 30 years younger than me.
