Recovery runs?

Hello! I graduated Couch to 5k on the treadmill and for the past month have been out on the road - am running anywhere from 15 - 18k at the moment and that has been running every other day. Plans this week mean that I will only be able to run three times - what are peoples thoughts about a short recovery run? if yes then it would mean running three days in a row, so something like this.

Saturday - 5 - 6 k ish

Sunday - 20 minute slow recovery run

Monday - long run (6 - 8k)

Try it and be guided by what your body tells you! I've found that if you run at a pace that keeps your heart rate below 70% of your maximum heart rate then it's okay to run as far as you want as often as you wish.

I was surprised when I had to fit 3 runs into successive days how easily my body coped with it after all the dire warnings I'd read. Good luck!
