Rubbish run this morning

Two days ago I was hit by a moderate dose of seafood poisoning. No graphic details needed but it meant cancelling yesterday’s run. Tried a 3km fartlek this morning but after 10 minutes realised how weak I still am, so walked the rest. Plus didn’t dare test the fart in fartlek!😳

There’s still tomorrow.

Go easy on yourself, your body has been through the mill and deprived of nutrients for a few days, so expect to feel weaker for a bit until your body regains its strength.

Well done to you for running. I would have left it a week. Fartlek is also not the gentlest of comebacks

Perhaps give yourself a couple more days and run on Friday? I know how frustrating it is but it does work and you will probably have a much more satisfying run? You still did run and had a nice walk so positive! :)

Hope you are fully recovered soon. Good poisoning can be, erm slimming!

Food poisoning is such a yuk to endure, no wonder you weren’t feeling tickety boo when running today. Hopefully you’ll be back to full strength and running v soon.

Running 48 hours after the onset of food poisoning? You know what you'd say to anybody else who tried that.

Oh heck, a fartlek too far😱 Take it easy for goodness sake, be kind to yourself until you are better.

Fartlek is challenging even without gurgling guts. Give yourself a couple more days to recover and just go for a recovery jog if you need to!
