The rain helped me to 10k

So onto wk 5, after a very comfortable 5k on Monday I was itching to get back out and run, rest on Tues but Wednesday was a complete washout weather wise. So with the days slipping by I decided I had to run today (Thurs).

So I set off knowing at some stage it would surely rain, approaching the 4K mark of my “there and back” route the heavens opened, but I was feeling really comfortable and good so the decision was made, carry on. I thought I’m going to get soaked anyway so another 1k won’t make any difference. On reaching 5k time to turn around still feeling good and not too wet. Got my head down and went for it, broke the last 5k down into sections and ignored the rain.

Result the longest distance and time I have ever run😀 Can’t wait to try it on a nicer day tho!
