I went for a 5-6k run and was so in the zone I kept going and I’ve only gone and bagged a 10k!! It was slow but steady, 1hr 17mins, plenty to work on but so proud of myself! And to think 3 months ago I was knackered doing w1r1 on C25K! 😊🏃♀️
Hi roseabi it has been pointed out to me that I appear to have lost my graduation badge for the 10K and 5k and been told to let you know. I know it shows on this post.
You haven't lost the badges. Your 'Graduate10' badge is visible on your posts and comments in the Bridge to 10K forum only - as you have noted above, you can see the badge on your post. Your C25K 'Graduate' badge can be seen on your posts and comments in the Couch to 5K forum only. The badges do not show up on certain platforms (I think the Health Unlocked app is one of those) - maybe your badges are not visible to the person who pointed this out to you?
So I completed 10K this morning. Didn’t mean to, I’m on week 6 of juju’s plan. Just felt good enough to go to 10. Did it in 57:17. Now on to next weeks Manc 10K...
well done Gaspode1! 75 minutes is not slow for a 10k, but I'm sure with more speed and strength exercises + more running that you'll shave your time down in due course 👍
limberlou managed to run 10k today so she needs that shiny Graduate10 badge.
It's amazing how most posts I seem to see from people that have run 10k, have done it by accident or not intended in running that far, rather than setting out to do 10k.
If you could link her to this page I'm sure she'd appreciate it.
Hi there admin folks! I am molly1973 and I’m super chuffed to report that I achieved 10k yesterday. It’s taken me ages: I think double the Magic plan timescale but the plan definitely worked! I might write a separate post about my bridge journey perhaps to inspire/reassure others like myself who are slower and had to adapt the plan a bit. Thank you for all your work and support and to JuJu for developing the plan in the first place 👍🏃♀️
Not posted for a while but have been reading posts, but just had to post today as I have just run my first 10k this morning. Feeling stunned, happy, shattered and elated all in one big emotional mix. Started C25K end of last year and never thought I would do 5k never mind 10k. A huge than’ you to everyone on here for your support and advice, now please may I step on to the rostrum and get my badge?
Yes please. I’m HeavyFoot and “accidentally” ran 10.6km this morning. Wrote a post. I would be as chuffed as a squirrel’s nuts to get a graduate badge. Thank you.
I ran my first 10K race (Cancer Research Winter Run) in Feb but wasn’t sure if it counted as I hadn’t fully ‘completed’ a B210k plan. However since then having joined a running club and building up I am regularly running 10K once a week so it seems silly not to ask. Soooo...............please may I have my 10K graduate badge?
HeavyFoot here again. For some reason I’ve had to re-join and change my password. This done, but my C25K and new B210K badges seem to have disappeared. Mysterious. Can someone help? Thank you.
I did it roseabi !! I completed Ju-Ju's magic 10k plan in 8 weeks and ran my final 10k run yesterday. I'm so over the moon for reaching 10k and so thankful for all the inspiration messages and stories from this community! ☺️😀🏃🕺🙏
I guess so, although I'd have thought it would be a bit tedious going back to doing only short runs! Have a think about incorporating some hills into your routes (if you're not doing so already), and take a looks at some interval training workouts. I'll also be posting about it next week!
