Went out to do an easy (easy mind you!!!) 2.5k (a measly 2.5k) after work with maybe some intervals and just...had nothing. apart from a terrible stitch most of the time. ended up walking maybe 2k of it!!
Guess I needed more carbs (had just had a salad for lunch) or more rest (ran 5k on Sunday, nothing yesterday but biked to work and back (ca 12k total with about 1k of uphill) or maybe it was too hot -- anyway it was a total bust! Apart from my lovely river walk.
However I am not deterred, I shall eat carbs and rest and come busting out on Thursday!
Happy May Day everyone!

Well hellooo… Nice to hear from you. I wondered if you were still running after you disappeared into a scandi winter...Hope you are still running regularly enjoying yourself
Hi, nice to hear from you again. Good that you are getting out there. It is always difficult to work out the reason for 'bad' runs. You have positive attitude so I am sure your next run will be great 😊
Sometimes I just seem to have bad runs. Went out yesterday to do just fifteen minutes. It was the worst run for ages. Couldn't get into any kind of rhythm and just desperate to stop! No doubt next time will be fine. Onward and upward!
ejvcruns! Lovely to hear from you again! I hope you are doing well. Sorry to hear the run didn’t go as planned, but at least you can pinpoint maybe why (though sometimes there is no ‘why’ and you just have to shrug your shoulders and move on). Fuelling is key, just generally when you are a runner, and I really notice it on my runs when I have not been eating enough.
